IFC Disposables is
proud to be part of the Cascades family. In
November of 2000, IFC
was acquired by Perkins Paper Ltd.
as part of the Wood-Wyant
acquisition. IFC Disposables is a converter of disposable
nonwoven wiping cloth products and a distributor of
towel and tissue products.
IFC
Disposables got its start in 1976 by selling rag remnants
in the back of an automotive supply store in Jackson,
Tennessee. More opportunities were realized in the "rag"
business and in 1977 a business solely devoted to the
production and sale of rags was started. IFC's primary
target market was the Southern United States selling
directly to endusers through a team of thirty direct
salespeople.

By
January of 1980, the company's product line had expanded
from rags and a few nonwoven items to a complete line
of disposable nonwoven products, and mill ends. IFC's
stability and growth came from a strong marketing and
sales emphasis in the industrial, institutional and
healthcare markets. As IFC evolved from cloth rags to
nonwoven disposable products, IFC became well known
as a premier "wiper source". Over the next
ten years, IFC changed its selling focus to encompass
distributors and endusers. The markets were expanded
to automotive, janitorial and foodservice.

In early 1990, IFC was acquired
by Hosposable Products, Inc., Somerville, New Jersey
as part of their strategic growth plans and as an outlet
for the airlaid material capacity they had developed.
In 1991, Hosposable Products was acquired by Wyant Corporation
and in turn IFC Disposables became part of the Wood-Wyant
family.
As a result of this acquisition, IFC added Wood-Wyant's
line of towel and tissue products to their offering;
thus allowing IFC to complement their disposable wiping
cloth product line with towel and tissue product offerings.
IFC was also able to offer a complete Adult Incontinence
product line that was manufactured by Wyant Healthcare
(Hosposable Products). In December of 1997, IFC Disposables
moved its operations to its current location in Brownsville,
Tennessee.
Today,
IFC markets its product lines through more than 635
distributors nationwide and abroad with a staff of five
Regional Sales Managers and a network of twenty-four
broker agencies. IFC's Brownsville facility employs
approximately 50 people in administrative, sales/marketing
and manufacturing positions.
IFC
product lines are known by trademark names such as:
Busboy® Foodservice Towels, Presto-Wipes® Airlaid,
Tuff-Job® Scrim Reinforced, Like-Rags® Cloth
Replacement Towels and Dusterz® Anti-Static Dusting
Cloths.
